With so much activity bustling in the Tennessee Valley, you probably want to bring along your furry friend to enjoy the festivities too! But where is your pup welcome? Thankfully, Huntsville is an extremely pet-friendly place! Here’s just a few of the many spots around town where Fido can roam.

Indoor Activities

Mixed-use spots such as Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment, Bridge Street and the Village of Providence are great places to bring your dog. At Bridge Street, look for a “white pawprint” sticker on the front window to know if the shop welcomes pets. Under Bridge Street’s “CANINE CODE OF CONDUCT,” the only locations that pets can’t come along are restaurants and food-related establishments. Shops like University Pickers, Duluth Trading Company, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Cabela’s, and Academy Outdoors let your dogs roam the aisles with you as you shop together.

Outdoor Activities

A few places to bring your fur babies along in an outdoor setting are The Camp at MidCity, Big Spring Park, Monte Sano State Park, Indian Creek Greenway, hiking trails and dog spots all around town. In Big Spring, you can attend events together like the Food Truck Rallies, Concerts in the Park and Greene Street Market. There are spots specifically dedicated to let Fluffy run free and socialize with other dogs. Check out this link for specific dog parks and pet friendly locations.

Restaurants, Breweries & Pet-Friendly Patios

We know food is important to both you and your dog so last but not least are restaurants, breweries and pet-friendly patios. Hang out on most patios in downtown Huntsville like Pane E Vino, La Esquina Cocina, Below the Radar, Honest Coffee, Piper & Leaf x Constitution Park and Moe’s BBQ. If you’re not in the downtown area, head to Cork & Crust, Taco Mama, Brickhouse Sports Cafe, or Chuy’s. Meanwhile, breweries are also a great place to chill with man’s best friend. Try out Salty Nut Brewery, Liquor Express, Straight to Ale, Yellowhammer, Green Bus Brewery and Casual Pint.

Rule of paw, make sure to check with the establishment before inviting your dog inside. Have a fabulous time with your dogs as you explore and experience all these activities and neat spots around the Tennessee Valley!
