Our top 5 lunch spots in North Alabama:

  • Decatur: Located in downtown Decatur, The Brick Deli & Tavern is one of our favorite spots to grab a sandwich (or salad, if we’re feeling healthy). You can choose from one of their many delicious options or create your own!
  • Florence: Of course, we have to mention the 360 Grille! If you’re looking for lunch with a view, be sure to give this spot a try. If heights aren’t your thing, our favorite place on the ground is Ricatoni’s. One of a few restaurants in Alabama with a handmade brick pizza oven, they offer a plethora of Italian pasta and pizza dishes that you are sure to love!
  • Athens: With a perfect location right next to the Athens Visitor’s Center and Big Spring Park, Ro’s Grille offers some of the best (and most creative) appetizers we’ve had yet. Their menu has something for everyone: beef, chicken, seafood, salads, and more! Try their Tac-ros for a fun and delectable spin on the fish taco!
  • Madison: Looking for something with a little more spice? One of our favorite Middle-Eastern eateries, Al Shish Palace in Madison, is the perfect place to get your fill of shawarma, kabob, falafel, and hummus. Vegetarian options abound, as well as a standard kid’s menu – so bring the whole family!
  • Huntsville: If you frequent Huntsville, you’ve probably heard of or seen the Taqueria El Cazador taco bus on Governor’s drive. What you may or may not know is that they have a restaurant located inside Stovehouse! They offer the same authentic Mexican fare you love in a convenient setting surrounded by plenty of options for entertainment, music, and shopping.

No matter where you find yourself in North Alabama (whether visiting or moving in), you’re sure to find an excellent spot for coffee or a quick bite close by.
