Jazz in the Park

Don’t pack up those picnic blankets just yet! The weather is still mighty fine so get back outside with Jazz In The Park. The outdoor concert series for this popular late-summer event will return this September. Grab your loved ones or fly solo and check out this free event in Huntsville’s Big Spring Park hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (City of Huntsville).

WhistleStop Festival

Food, music, a car show, and more! WhistleStop Festival is a Huntsville area favorite, and it’s just around the corner. What once began as an annual bbq contest has bloomed over the years into a two-day affair! The event will be held at John Hunt park on September 9-10, and there will be plenty to enjoy for the whole family.

Styx & REO Speedwagon

Haven’t been to the new Orion Amphitheater yet? This is the perfect opportunity! Bring your crew and rock out to Styx and REO Speedwagon on September 13. Orion has you covered if you’re thirsty during the concert, too. There are 9 bars to choose from that serve everything from craft beer to wine and spirits. Hungry? Apollo South has got you covered for food and drink.

Monte Sano Art Festival

If getting a little ‘culture’ is more your speed, The Monte Sano Art Festival is just for you! This event has been a well-loved local tradition for over 20 years. On September 10-11, see an array of disciplines and techniques by local artists, eat from one of the many food trucks, and listen to some opera in the Monte Sano Amphitheater! There is no charge for admission to the festival; however, Monte Sano State Park will charge $10 per car for parking or $5 per walk-in festival attendee. All funds support our beautiful state park system.
