Festifall at the Botanical Garden

Starting September through October, the Huntsville Botanical Garden displays creative scarecrows submitted by different organizations in the city. They are always so much fun and perfect for a selfie! There are many more parts to the “FestiFall at HBG.” Looking for a Halloween themed family-friendly event? BOOtanica happens on October 28th at the gardens. See the website for all the details: https://hsvbg.org/festifall/

Tate Farms Fall Festival

You can’t have fall without hay rides to pick pumpkins, a barnyard playground, corn cribs, photo ops, and barnyard animals! Tate Farms has you covered! With great food, rides for kids, and more, you are sure to spend at least half your day at the farm. Visit their website for admission and special event days: https://tatefarmsal.com/family-fall-festival/

Huntsville Ghost Walks

If spooky is what you’re after, look no further than the Huntsville Ghost Walks. Reserve your ticket online at their website for one of the Ghost Walks around downtown Huntsville. You’ll learn some Huntsville history sprinkled with a little bit of lore about spirits that allegedly haunt the city. If you’re over 21 years old and would rather ride than walk, you can jump on the Rocket City Rover for a Boos Cruise. You’ll get to hear spooky stories with a drink in our purple cup district. https://www.huntsvilleghostwalk.com/

Fall Color Special Train Ride

Train ride to see the fall foliage? Sign us up! The North Alabama Railroad Museum in Huntsville offers seasonal events that are sure to dazzle. This is the time of year when the leaves put on their show for us, and there’s nothing like a scenic train trip through the colorful foliage on the Mercury & Chase Railroad. Their Punkin’ Pickin’ Extravaganza event is also perfect for the little ones. Learn more here: https://northalabamarailroadmuseum.com/wp/special-events/
