Did you know Huntsville has a craft coffee trail? It’s winter here, and the perfect cozy time to tell you all about it! From coffee bars to more intimate cafes, there is a spot for everyone on the Downtown Huntsville Craft Coffee Trail. Each place offers a unique taste of Huntsville.

How it works

To tour the trail, you’ll need to grab your coffee passport (It will be a card) at one of the stops featured on the trail. At each stop, order any drink you would like and get your card stamped. If you collect stamps from all of the locations, you’ll get a free Downtown Craft Coffee Trail mug! Ready to get caffeinated? Locations

  1. Olde Towne Coffee: Huntsville’s favorite and oldest coffee shop! They roast their own coffee in-house, too. They offer several organic, fair trade single-origin coffees and many house blends.
  2. Canadian Bakin’: A locally owned bakery and cafe specializing in hand-rolled bagels and artisan breads. 
  3. The Moon Bakeshop: A family-owned bakery in Downtown Huntsville featuring Southern-influenced and European-inspired baked goods. Try their amazing Q-Becco with a delicious cup of coffee and you’ve got a winner!
  4. Honest Coffee Roasters: A full-service craft coffee shop. A locally owned and operated destination for high-quality coffee beverages, breakfast, lunch, acai bowls, and seasonal treats. Grab a coffee to-go or enjoy a cup in the cozy and cool environment. 
  5. Northside Coffee: Northside Coffee is a small batch artisan coffee roaster and café experience located at 109 Northside Square (formerly Jazz Factory/Club Rush). Their French Toast Latte is delicious!
  6. Piper & Leaf: A family-run local tea company based in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama with Five-ish locations to choose from! More than just amazing tea, Piper & Leaf also offers great coffee to get your caffeine fix!
  7. Dragon’s Forge Café: Lattes and house roast are made with a special bean blend created from a Huntsville native roastery over at Kaffeeklatsch. They offer coffee-based milkshakes, monthly seasonal drinks, and so many magical brews!
  8. Pizzelle’s Confections: An eclectic mix of edible art and culinary exploration. They bring a lifelong love of fine chocolate, culinary, and visual art to every creation. In addition to the most beautiful confections you’ll ever see, Pizzelle’s also offers coffee and espresso to pair with their treats.
  9. Gold Sprint: Eclectic, and casual coffee shop with everything from bikes, beer, coffee, food, and friendly people. Located right down the street from Lowe Mill. This is a great place to get some work done or simply relax with friends.
  10. Offbeat Coffee Studio: A coffee shop and vinyl record retail store serving delicious brews and great tunes! Work on the Arsenal? Check out their Gate 9 location for a morning pick-me-up!
  11. Charlie Foster’s: Located at Stovehouse, it’s a colorful coffee and tea shop with a purpose to model inclusion to the community. They offer a wide variety of food as well as coffee, espresso, and teas! Try one of their fun specialty drinks for a new coffee experience.
